The road ahead starts with clarity

Executive coaching for leaders navigating change, challenge and possibility

Leadership can be demanding, complex, and sometimes isolating. Coaching creates space to step out of the day-to-day, see more clearly, and make intentional choices about how you lead and what comes next.

Space to Reflect. Clarity to Act.

Leadership coaching grounded in real-world experience

I work one-on-one with executives and leaders who want to lead with greater clarity, effectiveness and intention — particularly when the stakes are high, the answers aren't obvious, or something needs to change.

Coaching isn't about giving you someone else's answers. It's about helping you see more clearly, understand what may be getting in your way, and act from a broader range of choices.

Leadership is rarely straightforward.

Miyasato Leadership Practice (MLP) provides confidential, one-to-one coaching for executives as well as leaders transitioning into greater role responsibility.

Executive and Senior Leaders

For experienced leaders navigating complexity, significant responsibility, transition or change.
Coaching may focus on leadership effectiveness, difficult decisions, relationships, resilience, organizational dynamics, or simply having a confidential place to think more deeply about what the role now requires of you.

For leaders moving into greater responsibility — or preparing themselves for it.

Coaching can help strengthen self-awareness, confidence, strategic perspective, communication and the ability to lead through others rather than simply taking on more yourself.

For Leaders Taking the Next Step

Whole-Person Coaching. Meaningful Results.

Leadership challenges rarely exist in isolation. How we lead is shaped by our experience, assumptions, relationships, values, habits and the ways we respond under pressure.

My approach is grounded in Hudson Institute's developmental, whole-person model of coaching. We look not only at what you want to accomplish, but at who you are being as you pursue it — what is serving you, what may be limiting you, and what new capacities you want to develop.

Reflection matters. So do results. The goal is insight that changes how you actually lead.

Leadership experience matters. So does curiosity.

Before becoming a coach, I spent nearly 13 years as chief executive of Santa Barbara County, leading a complex organization of 4,700 employees and a $1.7 billion budget through periods of change, crisis, opportunity, and uncertainty.

I also know what it is like to be coached. Early in my tenure as CEO, I worked with an executive coach — an experience that changed how I understood myself as a leader and how I approached the work.

Today, I bring that leadership experience together with professional coach training through Hudson Institute of Coaching. I understand the realities leaders face, but I don't assume my experience is your answer. My role is to help you discover yours.
